Client Lola VFX Featured in Deadline

A dead friend’s final ritual is at the center of a new horror film, and Lola VFX is helping make it.

Deadline revealed the cast of Sigil as Concourse Media launched sales at the American Film Market. The film stars Sierra McCormick, Francesca Xuereb, and Cailyn Rice as three young women who perform an occult ritual planned by their late friend. They hope to have their deepest wishes granted, but they soon realize they’re the final pieces in her deadly puzzle.

Spelling Communications client Lola VFX is producing the film and handling post-production and visual effects. William Wright Anderson wrote the script with Katharine Meadows and is co-directing with Tyler Condon.

The directors call it “a slow-burn possession story that explores faith as both salvation and contagion.” Anderson says they wanted to keep the occult thriller raw and grounded, with fear that comes from inside the characters as much as from what’s haunting them.

Production and post are staying in Los Angeles, which co-producer Matt Boda says will create much-needed jobs for local crew.
