His career has taken him around the globe many times working with the world's
most advanced post-production companies, broadcasters and manufacturers.
In the early nineties Ritchie focused his attentions on the infant business of
digital effects in the motion picture industry, joining Eastman Kodak's Cineon
team. Working with a new breed of post-production company, Ritchie began the
deployment of digital film technology in the United States and Europe. Joining

working on some of the early previsualization technology, and worked closely
with visual effects companies developing higher performance platforms.
In 2001 Ritchie was at 5D where he and the 5D team promoted a ground breaking
graphics workstation, and introduced the Colossus digital intermediate color
corrector which was truly the first digital intermediate color correction
system to be deployed in this industry. Ritchie has gained considerable
knowledge of the digital intermediate process, working with companies such as
Sony Imageworks and assisting them to complete projects such as Stuart Little II.
